Hi friends,
A couple of weeks ago, I shared some big news on social media:
You’re looking at a woman who just signed a new publishing contract for FOUR NEW BOOKS in the next few years. 🥳 To say I’m overwhelmed, grateful, and humbled is an understatement. I signed all the official documents on the computer and then just kind of sat here for a while. What in the world, eh? I am never not shocked. What a privilege. What an honour. (And what a lot of work ahead.)
Then I took a selfie. 🤷🏻♀️
I am so happy to be headed back to deep writing mode again and about these projects in particular. I hope they will serve you well particularly those of us who wander in the wilderness of faith more than not.
I will definitely share more when I’m able - including the publisher and the first book’s focus - here and at my newsletter but for now, I’ve got a tight book deadline … and four kids home for the summer plus all the other work (including Evolving Faith) also on my plate. It’s fine, I’m sure everything will be fine. 🤪 If it’s not too much to ask, I would appreciate your prayers though.
Hey, and thank you for all of your support of my work over the years. You all are the reason I love what I do - and why I’m able to do it. This means the world to me. Please know that I am so grateful, I never take this for granted.
(And I’m grateful for my agent @gardner_literary for ten years of support, friendship, and advocacy. Cannot imagine doing this work without her steady guidance. She always reminds me that being a writer comes with such highs and low-lows along with steady invisible faithfulness and we need to practice the discipline of celebrating well when there is something to celebrate so this is that! These are the good days.)
Now to reopen Scrivener and get the words in my brain and heart and soul onto a page somehow…
