Oh Sarah. The moment, the MOMENT I saw "online essays will be available in a book" I RUSHED to order.
When she died, drowning in grief, I went all the way back in her archives and read every single post. I created a list of every single book she referenced or recommended (I grieve by making book lists) and have been slowly working my way through each one ever since.
I know how painful, how beautiful, how joyful, and how heartbreaking this work must be for you. Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing this for Rachel's family and for us readers. I will do whatever it takes to promote WIDELY and buy copies for all of my friends
"Drowning in grief" is exactly what it felt like. I wonder if you'd be willing to share the list of books? What a lovely way to keep Rachel's wisdom always at hand π
I've thought about it--but perhaps with notations/asterisks, like when she read Mark Driscoll's book on marriage in an attempt to consider other viewpoints or when she read that awful Debi Pearl book as research for YBW. I don't want to imply that she endorsed or recommended everything she read. That's my hesitation.
I still vividly remember when I found A Year of Biblical Womanhood and suddenly realized there were other people with the same dawning awareness of the bill of goods we'd been sold. Through Rachel's work I found your work and that of so many other voices that have impacted my life indelibly over the last decade+. I'm so excited, and so grateful that you took on the emotional labor of shepherding this book!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. If crying during this announcement is any indication, Iβm going to be an absolute mess reading the book. Much love to you for the work of bringing this to life.
There have been so many times over these past years Iβve longed for Rachelβs voice to speak wisdom and truth into this messy world again. Thank you Sarah for your labor to bring us a glimpse of that and raise up Rachelβs work.
I still visit Rachelβs website regularly to read old blog posts on specific topics, so I absolutely love this news. Thank you for sharing and for being a part of continuing her amazing work/legacy.
Tears just reading this! I didn't know Rachel but her work seems amazing, the ripple effect . . . To be loved like she was, by so very many - speechless. Definitely pre-ordering, which I don't usually do. Thank you for your work to make this available for us, Sarah.
YESSSS Very here for your epic best friend team up even across earthly and heavenly realms!!! ππππ So cool, so needed, so much good news.
I don't know why but that perspective on it, a team up across realms, just made me burst into tears. Thank you, Jenna. π
Aww β€οΈSending love, cheers, and big hugs

What a way to start my morning! Thank you for your bravery to undertake this book. May the Lord of Rachel, you, and us give comfort and joy.
I cannot imagine: 1. How heavy this work must have been and 2. How amazing this book is going to be. Thank you, Sarah. β€οΈ
AAAGGGHGHH!!!! Literal screeches of joy! I knew my "eshet chayil" tattoo felt tingly.

Yeah, I'm a mess today too so we'll all be messes together!
I canβt imagine going back through some of that grief again.
Thank you ππ»
Preordered- looking forward to diving into this!
Just had another cry about this. Thank you for this hard, beautiful work. π
Being a Latin-mass Catholic, there's probably a lot I'll disagree with.
Being a Latin-mass Catholic, I'm enjoined to respectfully listen to those with whom I don't agree, and seriously consider their words.
Being a Latin-mass Catholic, I will therefore buy the book, and read it with an open and gentle heart.
Thank you what a model of true friendship this is. Thankful you persevere with us.
