In this New Year, remember to look up AND down, look out AND within. Those who always look up are most prone up stub their toes. Peace, Dwight Lee Wolter
I read this while breathing deeply and looking for birds in my backyard... it's absolutely beautiful, and very grounding. Thank you for this. Happy New Year!
Thank you for the reminder that a new year can be a companion. I’ve become aware that starting sometime in the past few years a new year brought fear of the unknown, not a welcome to what’s coming. I want to have a heart that welcomes and not a heart that fears. Your words are an inspiration to me today. 💗
I shared this with my niece in the am and said I need to copy it off and read every day. At coffee my dear friend Kristen showed up for coffee with a copy 😊
Thank for this prayer. My mother passed a week ago, and these words met me with real comfort—especially:
“May the breaking of your heart ground you… Everything that is arriving could heal you… May Love be with you this year.”
Thank you for offering prayers that don’t rush grief, and for reminding me that Love is already with us.
Sarah. Girl you got me a little teary eyed 🥹. This prayer is BEAUTIFUL. Happy New Year.
A beautiful, gentle prayer to start a new year. I just became a paid subscriber yesterday! Really thankful to be here. Happy New Year.
I love this prayer so much. My default is to shut the door...I will print and revisit often. Thank you S. Happy New Year.

Thank you for naming the tenderness it takes to welcome a new year without pretending we’re unscarred.

A lovely prayer for this new year (that already, just 3 days in, feels old and worn out 🫣)
