So beautiful, so real and so personal. Thank you for the prayer I didn’t know I needed. May the Lord bless you for faithfully writing your words and sharing your heart. ❤️
Your words broke the logjam of tears inside me and gave me peace in the midst of pain along with a sense of being seen. My husband cannot see and rejoice in who I am. I am simply an irritant to him. But your prayer reminded me that I am beautiful to God and They are for me. Thank you and blessings to you and your family.
Thank you for sharing this again. I will use it with full credit to you as I lead Blue Christmas worship today. I had a sermon in the works but honestly needed your prayers more and they give words to what we all need this year. Thank you.
I am so grateful for your prayer. I have been heartbroken and carrying so much anguish for the people of Ukraine and Gaza and all the people seeking refuge around the world.
Oh Sarah. I praise Him for giving you words that I and my community have been trying to find for all the hurt and strife that we find around us for the last several months (heck the entire pandemic really). I have been struggling to find words to pray, besides “fix it God.” When sitting down to try to write words that will be helpful to those I want to encourage everything sounds trite and stupid. So your words are such a huge gift (always!). I am sharing this one every chance I get, especially with a community that is praying for my friend’s great-niece, who just turned 5 on December 17th. Sweet Kenzie has an incurable brain tumor and even with radiation, she is not expected to live beyond a year. I pray that your prayer is the balm to her family’s souls that it has been to mine. Thank you for everything. Hope you don’t mind me saying I love you. Merry Christmas.
I can't tell you how many times I've prayed this beautiful prayer. Each word has brought me comfort. It is now almost June and I continue to pray it. Thank you for creating it and sharing it.
Beautiful, and helpful. For me, this time has been a stark reminder that we are to rely on God. When we can't visit with others in the same way. When we can't travel. When we're dealing with loss and grief and coming face to face with things we were, pre-pandemic, hoping to avoid. Regardless of our circumstances, we are to always count on God. But it's a truth ever more apparent when we simply can't count on a million other regular things.

This was crafted for my soul. Thank you Sarah Bessey for seeing the whole world and knowing your role in it.
So beautiful. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
