Much of what I need to know in life has come from Star Trek, including this pearl: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4A-Ml8YHyM

Thank you for these inspiring words. I read a few words from your blessing here at a service at a care home tonight. Just thought you’d want to know your words reached to kind grey heads living with courage and reaching for hope! They are so inspiring. One lady who doesn’t always have any words she can say said afterwards, ‘I cried, it just reached all the way to here’ as she touched her chest. ❤️🥹

We walk with our Jesus, whose purpose was to show us the Father, to BE love to all the ones we meet and live with along our journey lest they never meet LOVE.

Though it seems like our efforts are a failure, may we look like Jesus, respond like Jesus, and pour out His love with extravagance. May we remember to draw on the grace to continue and the wisdom when to rest. Blessings and hope, it looked hopeless and wasted on the road to Emmaus

I have these words of T. S. Eliot's taped to my laptop screen: "For us there is only the trying. The rest is not our business." Now when I see them, I will also think of you, Sarah, and your reminder that "They can't say we didn't try."

Beautiful! Every single fighting intentional determined word! Yes! We will continue especially for those who can't.

This made me think of a song by Grace Petrie called 'The Losing Side'. The chorus goes:

If I find myself on the losing side

You can lay me down knowing that I tried,

There's a better world,

And on a quiet day,

When I close my eyes I can hear her say,

"Take heart my sister".

Thank you Sarah - take heart my sister.

So good. Especially as I sit here. Exhausted from trying.

Thanks for reading my soul. I was sitting under a tree, one ear chewed off and the other refusing to listen, thinking that all I wanted in life was lunch. And then you came along and reminded me of the hunger in my soul that cannot be sated by bread alone.
